Storytelling Festival tickets now on sale

Halloween

HENDERSON, Ky. -- Tickets are on sale now at the Depot for the upcoming Storyteller's Festival to be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Gatsby Room at Hometown Roots.

This event will feature a lineup of storytellers telling true stories with a Henderson connection. The stories will follow a "Halloween" theme ranging from the weird to the macabre.

Audience members will have an opportunity to participate by submitting index cards with very short stories that will be drawn from a hat and read by volunteers between storyteller times. A limited number of tickets are available at $20 each. (Some stories may not be suitable for youth.)

The Depot Community Room’s mission is to bring Henderson’s rich history alive through a wide range of exhibits and events designed to enlighten and inform. Proceeds from ticketed events benefit the Cemetery Monument Restoration Fund.

Call the Depot Community Room at 270-830-9707 for information. It is located at 101 N. Water Street. Hours are: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
