Responsibilities
Municipal Facilities is responsible for the oversight, construction, renovating, and maintenance of all city owned structures, mechanicals, and building systems, except for Henderson Municipal Power & Light’s and Henderson Water Utility’s facilities.

The division also has direct budgetary responsibility for the maintenance of the fixtures, systems, and structures listed below:

• Municipal Center (City Hall)
• Public Safety Building (Peabody)
• The Welcome Center (The Depot)
• Union Train Depot
• Gathering Place (senior citizens)
• Facilities Maintenance Shop
• Three municipal boat docks
• 375 downtown and Elm Street antique style street lights
• Central Park antique fountain
• Riverfront interactive water feature
• Directions and broadcasts on the city’s cable channel 7 (22.6) on Insight
• Audio / Visual system used by city boards and commissions
• Downtown and Central Park Christmas decorations
