Missoula Children's Theatre returning this summer, producing 'Snow White'


HENDERSON, Ky. -- Henderson Area Arts Alliance will bring back Missoula Children's Theatre this summer for a week-long residency that will result in a performance of "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs."

An audition will be held for students in grades K-12 from 10 a.m.-noon Monday, June 25, at the Preston Arts Center. Those auditioning should plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the 60 roles to be cast are Snow White, her friends Phineas, Foxy and Fernando, Queen, seven Dwarfs, the Forest animals, Black Forest Creatures, a Magic Mirror, Bats, Henchmen and the King.

Students who have completed K-12 grades are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10:00 a.m-2:30 p.m. each day, Tuesday-Friday, organizers said.

"Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs" will be presented 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Preston Arts Center.
