New class selected for Henderson Alumni Hall of Fame


HENDERSON - Ahead of an induction  ceremony set for late March, a new six-member class is being announced  for the Henderson Alumni Hall of Fame.

"These are people who have done more than just a few good things, but who have done outstanding things and have been recognized by their peers,” said  organizer Gene Peck, an educator at Henderson County High School where  the Hall of Fame wall is displayed.

The 2018 inductees are:

  • Mark Hafner, who works in entertainment production
  • Amy Wilson, an attorney and creator of Girls 4 Science
  • Eric Gregory, president of Kentucky Distiller's Association
  • David Garner, senior vice president of operations for Brenntag North America
  • Tim Johns, creator of the Brain Injury Adventure Camp
  • William Soaper, local historical figure, farmer, businessman and civic leader

The 2018 Henderson Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for  Saturday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson County High School. It  will include a banquet catered by the Henderson County High School  culinary arts group.
