HENDERSON, Ky. -- Henderson County Public Library is offering several reading and other educational programs this summer during the break from the classroom.
Every Tuesday in Freedom Park and Thursday in Central Park at 10:30 a.m. there will be story time, a small activity, and a chance to meet the book character of the week.
Lunch will be provided through the Henderson County Schools Summer Feeding Program. This event is in collaboration with the Henderson County Parks and Programs,Henderson Farmers Market, Henderson County Schools, Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center, Henderson County Public Library, City of Henderson and Early Childhood Council.

June 6 and June 8: MaisyJune 13 and June 15: LillyJune 20 and June 22: Frog and ToadJune 27 and June 29: Mouse from “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”July 11 and July 13: Splat the CatJuly 18 and July 20: Poky Little Puppy
No registration is required for this program.
Starting Monday, June 5 and continuing each Monday through July 17, a Family Fun Series will be offered from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Inventors and tinkerers have to chance to create, invent and just plain tinker around in the new Lego/Tinker Lab each Friday starting June 9 at 11 a.m. The activity gives the hands-on learner a creative outlet.
Also, the Minecraft Lab will be open all day on Wednesday, June 14, beginning at 9 a.m. Participants can sign up for spots hourly but spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
