HENDERSON, Ky. -- Henderson Society of Art will host its open art exhibit “A Fresh Perspective XXV” starting in April.
The opening reception and awards ceremony is set for 5:30 p.m. April 18 at John James Audubon State Park Museum. The exhibit will remain at the museum through July 5.
All artists age 18 years or older may submit two works of original art, which can be two- or three-dimensional. All mediums are accepted except photography.
Juror Michael Nichols, professor of art at Western Kentucky University, will select works to be exhibited. Awards totaling more than $2,400 will be selected by the juror.
Deadline for entry fee and application must be postmarked by April 3. A prospectus is available for download at www.ohiovalleyart.org. You can also email Iris Gentry at email@example.com and request an application. Drop-off dates for the artwork are 2-4 p.m. on April 9 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 10.
Hours at the Audubon Museum are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
