DHP seeking nominations for annual Awards Breakfast

HENDERSON, Ky. -- The Downtown Henderson Partnership is accepting nominations for its annual awards to be presented at the 23rd Annual Awards Breakfast on March 23.

Awards include Excellence in Preservation, Business of the Year, Downtowner of the Year, Volunteer or the Year and the Heart of Downtown, presented annually to an individual or family who has worked diligently and successfully over a number of years for the long-term growth and development of downtown Henderson.

Beginning at 7:30 and lasting until 9 a.m. at Rookies Banquet Center, there will be a keynote address by Stephanie Richard and Michael Martin of Architectural Renovators. Richard and Martin will touch on past and future preservation and rehabilitation projects, including the historic Union Station Train Depot on Fourth Street in Henderson.

“Celebrating those who work tirelessly to move downtown Henderson forward is what our Annual Awards Breakfast is all about,” said Eric Raber, chairman of the Downtown Henderson Partnership board of directors. “If a name comes to mind, nominate them. With so many innovative and progressive movers and shakers in downtown Henderson, to be nominated for an award is an achievement and an honor.”

Award nominations are due to the Downtown Henderson Partnership by Wednesday, March 1. Individual tickets are available for $15 each and corporate table sponsorships are available for $500 each. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Downtown Henderson Partnership at 270-827-1600.

The Downtown Henderson Partnership was launched in 1986 with the help of the National Main Street program and the Kentucky Main Street program. The mission of the organization is to promote, improve and preserve the unique character and economic vitality of Downtown Henderson. The Downtown Henderson Project uses the four point approach which work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
