HENDERSON, Ky. -- The Evansville Trails Coalition is expanding the Upgrade Bike Share Program to the City of Henderson.
The new Upgrade Bike Share stations in Henderson will have three locations: Sponsored by Field & Main Bank, located at the corner of Second and Main Street, sponsored by the Raymond B. Preston Family Foundation at the Audubon Kids Zone location at Powell and Letcher Street and a third station sponsored by the City of Henderson, along the trails within Atkinson Park.
A ribbon cutting and celebration will take place at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Second and Main Street station location, in Downtown Henderson.
Since the Evansville Trails Coalition launched the Upgrade Bike Share Program in Evansville in October 2016, the Upgrade Bike Share Program ridership has climbed steadily to the current ,7034 rides and now has more than 3000+ active members.
Evansville currently has seven bike station locations, The Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Haynie’s Corner, the downtown YMCA, Franklin Street West Library, North Main Street in Jacobsville, the University of Evansville station, and one within Deaconess Sports Park.
The Upgrade Bike Share Program is a program of the Evansville Trails Coalition. A nonprofit organization, the Evansville Trails Coalition is Evansville’s resource for trails advocacy, active living education and for bicycle and pedestrian maps and routes.
