HENDERSON, Ky. – The Henderson County Public Library is celebrating the start of another school year with our “Food for Fines” program Aug. 1-15.
The library is accepting non-perishable, non-expired, unopened food items, which will be donated to the Henderson County School District’s Weekend Backpack program.
There is a list of suggested items available at the circulation desk or at the library’s website, hcpl.org. Please consider using this program to reduce or eliminate fines or fees you may have and help those less fortunate at the same time.
Henderson County Public Library will forgive up to $2 in fines and fees per acceptable food item. Non-refundable collection agency fees will not be eligible for the program. “Food for Fines” ends Aug. 15.
