Responsibilities
The City of Henderson Human Resources Department is responsible for carrying out all the activities essential to the effective administration of the city's personnel functions. These activities include:
  • Maintain centralized personnel and medical records
  • Assist departments in the areas of recruitment, selection, promotion, retention, and training of employees
  • Administer all non-health related benefits, including compensation packages
  • Administer the city health benefits, including Henderson Water Utility and Henderson Municipal Power and Light
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines related to employment and employment safety
  • Administer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Maintain all applicable documentation required by OSHA
  • Investigate all accidents and injuries
  • Coordinate citywide training
  • Administer all the city’s workers' compensation claims and interact with the workers' compensation carrier
